Customer Fuel Savings
1994 Christ Craft 322 is 11' wide, 32' long and weighs in about 12,000# loaded
I try to run at just over 25mph to get over the top of the boat wake so we are up on plane instead of plowing water
The first year after having the boat bottom sanded and freshly painted I set the throttles around 3200-3400 RPM to get over 25 MPH. That's about 18.5 gallons of fuel per hour.
Three years later, moss and grunge starting to develop on the bottom of the boat. I now have to set the throttles around 3800 RPM to get over 25 MPH. Now it's consuming fuel at 25 gallons per hour.
After using the brush, I discovered I could get up over the 25 MPH mark at a little over 3400 RPM. That calculates out to around 20 gallons per hour.
At $4 per gallon, we save about $20 per hour.
We've driven the boat roughly 10 hours this year.
If we'd had the brush at the beginning of the year we would've saved $200 in gas.
The brush cost $250.
It almost pays for itself in one year in fuel costs alone.
